Join Us as Our New Toxicologist (Scientist)
Are you passionate about advancing biological solutions while ensuring product safety? As a Toxicologist in our Toxicology department, your expertise could come from various areas within the life sciences. Most importantly, you bring curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to applying your knowledge to strengthen the safety of our products.
Who We Are
The Toxicology department is part of Global Product Safety , which includes four departments and approximately 50 colleagues. Together, we are responsible for the safety of all Novonesis products across industries such as food, crop protection, and household care.
Our work spans collaboration with internal teams and customers worldwide, making us an integral part of Novonesis’ diverse product portfolio. We also prioritize animal welfare by engaging in research and initiatives that reduce animal use in product development and chemical safety testing, such as 3R principles, NAMs, and NGRA .
Our team consists of 8 dedicated scientists (including you!) and a lab technician. We believe that a supportive and inclusive environment is the key to unlocking potential. We’ll help you grow in your role, build on your unique strengths, and develop your skills further.
In this role you will make an impact by :
In this role, you’ll contribute to meaningful work that ensures the safety of our innovative products. Your responsibilities will include :
- Providing toxicological insights, risk assessments, and advice on Novonesis products throughout their development phases, including enzymes, proteins, and biosolutions (e.g., microorganisms) for industries like farming, food, dietary supplements, and cleaning products.
- Designing and overseeing in vitro and in vivo toxicological and ecotoxicological studies conducted by contract research organizations (CROs).
- Collaborating in project groups and exchanging knowledge with cross-functional stakeholders from across the global Novonesis organization.
- Preparing and reviewing safety documentation for regulatory authorities and customer communications.

This position is based in Bagsvaerd, Denmark , with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
